Garden Song® 101-4 Dine Around Window Bird Feeder Review

This is one of 7 feeders that I have at my home NOTHING relaxes me and perks me up more than seeing all the colorful birds around my home. When I saw this one at it's incredible price, I had to give it a shot. It mounted to the window in about 30 seconds-I filled it with finch food, and had a purple finch perched and eating an hour later! What a thrill to be cleaning house, at the computer or relaxing in my recliner, and to be able to look out of our big, bay window and see the goldfinches and other birds perched. NEGATIVES: Perch is a LITTLE on the "flimsy" side, but no one's fallen off yet. Doesn't come with instructions - I could see this being a problem for someone unfamiliar with feeders. Other than that? Good job, once AGAIN, to Garden Song!

Brome 1055 Squirrel Buster Mini Review

I purchased this product because the squirles were eating all my bird seed. I was happy with the product and it was easy to assemble, fill and hang. My only complaint is that in order for it to be 100% squirel proof it needs to be hung at least 18 inches from the nearest post. My hanger only has about 12 inches of clearance, so it's not 100% squirrel proof in my situation, but it still cuts down on the amount they can reach, and my seed that used to be gone in 2 days has lasted over 2 weeks now. It would have been helpful to have that stipulation on the outside of the box instead of only on the insert inside the bos, or else I would have taken that into consideration in my purchase. On the whole I am happy with the purchase.

Heritage Farms Bird's Choice Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder Review

Unlike the reviews below, this feeder has given us excellent service. I purchased this for my Mother to use. Her backyard is Squirrel Central and she is always on the lookout for a feeder for feathered critters, not furry ones.

This feeder is very easy to fill and to date no squirrels has been observed successfully getting any seed out of it. Which isn't to say they don't try, but so far their schemes have failed them. The saga continues....

Perky Acrylic Window Feeder Review

I have been pleasantly surprised with this little feeder.As you can see in the video clip, the feeder can be filled to the brim with seeds and hold 2 birds and still not fall.In fact, I have had two of these feeders on my windows for well over three months and have yet to have them fall off.The birds enjoy eating out of these feeders - despite the fact our cats leap into the window trying to attack them.They provide hours of entertainment.

No/No C00322 Red Cardinal Feeder Review

My husband had this on his wish list and based on the other reviews I almost didn't order it for him. Others said birds couldn't get seeds out and didn't use the feeder. We have lots of birds using this feeder at all times and I once counted 10 birds on it at the same time. Some cling to the wires and others sit on the perch to eat. The top has kept the snow and rain off of it and it holds a ton of seeds at one time (not filling it as much). Also the squirels have yet to destroy it unlike many other feeders we have had. I would definately buy this one again.

This birdfeeder has enough going against it that I wouldn't purchase it if given another chance.The central wire makes it swing much more in the wind, making it difficult for birds to feed on a windy day.Although the cover has a button to hold the lid in place, on windy days, the button doesn't hold well and the bird food dumps all over the ground.Also, the plastic windows aren't big enough and are barely held in place by the 2 metal clips that line the side of each edge.The plastic fell out when the wind blew my feeder off a really secure branch.However, at least it didn't break.So, overall, I'm not happy with this feeder and wouldn't recommend it to others.

Birdscapes 366 Tall Tulip Garden Lantern Feeder, 6-Pound Capacity (Colors May Vary) Review

Hi folks. I don't have spare time to review every product I buy here with over 250 orders in the last year. However, I do feel obligated to mention or warn others when a product fails under normal ordinary conditions.

This bird feeder looks very nice, it holds plenty of bird seed, and I have no problems with the funky lid or filling the feeder. (I don't like the flimsy plastic glass)

I wondered "WHY are the birds completely ignoring this feeder when I clearly see it's still half full of seed? They used to like it. What's the deal?" Hummm.

I quickly discovered the problem. What happens is; every time it rains, the bottom area (tray) gets filled with water and saturates the seed, turning it into a thick muddy paste. At this point, the birds have no interest. After examining the feeder, I noticed the "tray" has little tiny drain holes - not quite the size of lead in a pencil. These drain holes are obviously insufficient. I doubt I can drill the plastic holes larger without breaking the tray.

In summary, I find it surprising that no other reviewers mentioned this problem. Ultimately, my recommendation is to only buy this feeder if you hang it in a dry area, such as in a pavilion, under an eave, or a similar location. For me, it's time to go bird feeder shopping once more.

Brome 1015 Squirrel Buster Classic Review

No, maybe squirrels can't get inside the feeder, but they don't have to. All they have to do is shake it or set it to swinging, and seed goes all over the place. Then they take what seeds they want out of the resulting mess and leave the rest to rot. They can trash a feeder's worth of seed within a week. I'll be looking for yet another feeder as soon as I can afford it.

This feeder is the best I've had, and I have had a bunch. It has a huge capacity so you don't have to fill it very often. It is almost impossible for squirrels to stand on and if they manage to get a foothold their weight closes the feeding ports so they can't get anything. You can adjust it to exclude large birds such as starlings and grackles. When it needs to be cleaned you just put it in the dishwasher. When an especially crafty squirrel tried to chew it's way in to my feeder I informed Brome about the damage and they sent me a replacement part for free! Squirrel busters have a lifetime warranty against squirrel damage. I have had mine for about 3 years and couldn't be happier with it. If you only have one bird feeder in your life this should be the one.
